Hello,We are Derya & BerkayYoung immigrant social clowns and circus pedagogues living and working in Berlin, Germany.We work with children, families, and people with disabilities. Through clowning, circus, and play, we create moments of safety, joy, and connection for people affected by displacement, trauma, and exclusion.This work is not a hobby for us.It is a responsibility toward the communities we serve.We have continuously pursued different forms of education to develop ourselves both artistically and pedagogically. At the same time, we have been actively involved as volunteers in many communities. Through theater, clowning, and play, we have formed strong and valuable connections and found meaningful ways to reach people.This year, we were accepted into Matteo Destro’s ATELIER – Mask & Movement Theatre in San Miniato, Italy.★ Why This Matters ★This program will deeply shape our artistic creation and how we work with vulnerable communities for many years to comes safer, grounded, and more powerful work in challenging context.★ We Are Asking For Your Support ★This opportunity comes with a significant financial challenge. As non-EU citizens, the tuition alone is more than we can cover on our own, nor would we expect any one person to shoulder that responsibility.
